Hip replacement check up still got buttock pain

I have just had my 12 month check up. X ray is good .

But l have buttock pain quite bad and by the wound area.

He thinks it will settle down probably over done things helping my mom after her stoke l hope it does... anyone else got pain on buttocks and operated leg at top.

Back on tramadol too

    I am also 12 months post op and yes if I over do it I have a sharp pain in the upper buttock. But it goes away with rest. I am bowling on a league and it really bothers me so I just take a couple of ibuprofen before I start and it seems to help. I have a tennis ball that I lie on and roll just a little on it. That really seems to help. Hope this helps.

    Hi. I just had my surgery last week (March 6 2019) and my leg is more swollen now than it was in the hospital right after surgery. Is this normal?

      Yes its normal Ernie a lot of people on here say the same too. Seems to be for a few weeks . Hope all goes well for you Linda

      Ernie, I had a very swollen leg for about 3 weeks. Elevate it when you are sitting down, and put frozen peas/ ice on it.
