hip replacement dislocation

Posted , 5 users are following.

I had my eight hip replaced in 2001 and since April 2014 I have had four dislocates that pop right back into joint within thirty seco ds. This usually happens after I go for a walk and my hip is in a relaxed state. The hamstring area is tender as well as the lower buttock.  I am not doing anything real strenuous especially considering what I have done for the first twelve years.  I am seeing a surgeon next week. X rays show components in tact.  So why is this dislocating?

Hi Cam, Sounds like your hip has come to the end of it's life. I know they only last around 15 years but that is a broad figure. It  is  good that you will  be  seeing your surgeon. Best of luck.

I never have heard some one having 8 hip replacements.

Your probably having another joint ware out with loose muscles too.

I hope you will recover from this with out additional surgeries.
