Two years after THR Still have pain in the groin/ hip down the thigh and over the top of the knee,Also hip feels loose.

Having hip revision in august but not shure what they are going to do as xrays look ok and no infection.Leg is shorter but not much, also the hip off set could be adjusted.

Might find out more at pre-op end off july 23rd

    Hi Wack,

I'm on my second revision, the rehab is longer than the original replacement but the good news is that after years of leg difference I am finally on even ground!

    Good luck

Leg length issues r individual and drs use measurements on table X-ray and prothesis to comes as close as possible. Yet sometime if too far off this can set a whole trin wreck into place. Back hip knee alignment issues

i am sorry  it's so much more than normal THR. I am headed for revision soon.. Revision is way more complex than THR. LONGER REHAB bigger implants many women cannot due to small bones. I'm hoping for the best..I am sorry  that u have had to endure so much. I hope UR can get to a better place soon.

      cheers

Leg length is always a issue with THR. Sometime lifts in shoes help.

i am doing a hip revision to. Recalled by manufacturer. Revisions are much more complicated and longer rehab than normal thr.

ihave been thru 3 & to tell u the truth One day I am totally indifferent the next I am grateful for THR CONSIDERING THE ALTERNATIVE,

it it sound like the ligament is giving u problems as it has always been a lasting painful issue for me. I did a lot OfPt for the first and second hip for treating ligaments helped a lot and the kneee issues was always undercurrent fron stress from feh abbs after surgery and arthritis.let us know what u find out in July wish u the best of luck.

    CHEERS

Good luck for when it finally happens. Try to keep up as much muscle strength as you can ready for rehab, plan for your post-op care, then go for it.
