hole in tooth, swelling on the gum, white gums and pain!?!

Hi

I have a hole in my tooth and in the middle of my tooth the gum is swelling, also around the tooth the gum is swelling.  My gums are slightly whiter than usual and I'm also having some pain.

I have an appointment at the hospital in 2 weeks to get my tooth removed but are my symptoms serious? Do I need an earlier appointment?

Does anyone know what these symptoms are a result of?

    Are you in pain?

As for your other questions, did your dentist refer you to hospital?  If so, then perhaps you should contact him.

Im in a little pain but have taken nurofen which has relieved the pain.

when I went to the dentist I had a hole in my tooth and they referred me to the hospital to get it removed.

But in the last couple of days I have had the other symptoms of white gums and swelling.

I think I would ring the dentist and tell him what has happened and when your hosp appt is and see what he says.

How long ago did he refer you to the hospital?

Perhaps you should ring your dentist then and tell him you have an appt on Dec 8th but you just wanted advice regarding the latest developments.

White gums is a common symptom of many dental problems like gingivitis, gum disease, yeast infection, lesions in the mouth etc. To find out the right reason you need to consult a dentist. Try consulting a holistic dentist. It is not at all necessary that white gums are a symptom of any serious disease. You need not fear and consult your dentist as soon as possible.
