HoleP success 16 months on.

Hi ,

Not been on sight for about a year but thought I would post how happy I am with the HoLeP received at the Freemans hosp at Newcastle in April 2018.

It's just like being normal in all respects, flow rapid, can hold a pint of urine which allows me to only get up once a night or sleep through if not having copious cups of tea during the day. The all important orgasms are back at least to 90% of what they were. And the best bit is that I'm off those ruddy pills. I had started to develop man breasts but they have now gone and I was getting gall bladder problems which has completely gone now too without the op. Not sure if the pills caused that but read somewhere the pills can cause fatty liver so who knows. I should have gt the holep earlier but easier said than done in the uk. I had to fight to get referred to a good hospital whist my own region were favouring treating private patients at the expensive of the nhs patient.

I'm going to get it checked this autumn. Hope you are well.

Are you being followed up at the Freeman or just by your GP. I just had a six month follow up there

I was amazed after my Thulium/Holmium laser in 2013 that my PSA had dropped to 0.74. Not sure if it means that my prostate is not growing as this year it was 0.70.

Thanks for the follow-up. I think HoLEP is one of the best treatments for BPH. Though I had HoLAP (14 days ago) because my prostate wasn't large enough for HoLEP. I'm doing great though not completely back to my younger self.
