Holes After Discharge Has Come Out

let me just say you are not alone i have suffered with HS for 11 years i am now 22 and like millions that have HS ..it doesnt get any better... infact almost as though its gets worse.. it has affected my life in many ways... walking, relationships even simple tasks of doing day to day chores ive even had to come home from work because they get so bad, it isnt very nice when they flare up but you do learn how to live with them.. i have been doing some research on HS and there are different remedies etc that you can do to keep them at bay, i am in process of trying new remedies out as well as being on medication. i feel for you and good luck with what ever you do. you are not alone sweetie!!

omg yes! i have gone through this several times and now i have a few holes which have been theree for months now!

its nice to know im not the only one!

i just went to the doctors this mornin who confirmeddd i have another absess so im on antibiotics again

Hi honey dont ever think you are alone, i did and do you know that stress makes it worse, or in my case bring on a large flare up ,You have to calm down and the way through this is think of cases worse than yourself.And believe me there is some terrible stories to be told,Do some research on h.s. and you will see what i mean. I have had this terrible skin compaint for 20years+ and there is very little i dont know about h.s.[except a cure] ive had surgery under my arms, under my breasts, and a lot of absesses removed with a freeze,you name it ive had it. If you ever want to talk about it or just want some advice i am always here. There is no cure but you have to live with it as best you can, dont let it take over your life,dont let it beat you, And remember there is always worse than yourself,keep that in your mind and you will get through this I will be thinking off you good luck and remember your not alone.

Trust me you are not alone atall. I am 15 and have had HS for over a year now, except I have not formally been diagnosed by my GP as they failed to realise the first time last October what my condition was, explaining that it was an infection that would clear up and I have not had the courage to go back again. I have holes, discharges of pus, lumps, scars under both breasts that have never gone and I feel just like you. Just don't think you are alone, because I did until I found this forum. Knowing that there are other young people out there also suffering does not make me feel as inhuman.

I have also experienced these holes, I have one that the skin seems to have grown over but not completely healed the hole now and then I have to push this weird nasty smelling pus from. I must say they have healed over to a degree so I can no longer see the hole so hopefully yours will to x

I packed up smoking when i was diagnosed, it helped and i lost weight and this also helped so yes....smoking and your weight are a factor. Antibiotics will never get rid of the disease, no one knows what causes it or how to deal with it.

Hi there, reading through everyones experience has made me feel better as i felt i was alone too. being so young i was scared and embarassed and thought i was the only one. I went to the doctors yesterday and iv been put on antibiotics for 3 months. I have to hide this cause im to embarassed to explain to my friends and iv not told my mum or anyone in my family am to embarassed. I don't know what to do.
