You poor thing. What kind of op did u have? My son's surgeon cleaned it out to 6cm deep but then stitched it to 1cm deep and we've been packing it since. Doc said sometimes when it's left too deep it doesn't work so well.

I've got stitched.. But they didn't work.. Had cavitys under neath. That' was January this year.. They cut me back open in March and left district nurse to pack..

Cut me 4cm deep.. 12cm long.. And a think a was 3 cm wide.. Really big and deep so u would think they would get everything out wouldn't u.. Shocking man

It's truly an awful problem. People don't realise. Google Mr Emin Carapeti. He's amazing. We are still trying to be positive and think that this will def work. I really think I'm doing a better job packing than the district nurse did first time round cos I'm being so careful and not neglecting it at all. Dunno what the answer is, terrible thing

As I am reading and having this situation with me I believe finally there is no cure for this problem, now I am going to move to Homoepathic mediciene soon and let see if it will work for me as I have also same issue of 2 openings but 2nd one is not bleeding all the time only once in a while.

Don't give up hope, my son felt the same. We found good surgeon and are very hopeful. Still at packing stage but this is the best it's looked. Good luck

Thanks but this packing is also very painful and time taking job, I had once and the time the person in the hospital was doing packing without any pain killer which was almost I was dead. So now I am much scared of this much pain to bear once again and rest operation was also a horrible expereince for me.

The surgeon recommended antibiotic cream and I am packing and washing it daily for my son. Keeping it so clean and watching it daily has helped. You have our sympathies it's an awful problem

Coz I had operation 3 years back and right after the operation it has started again, I am afraid now to again go for operation to bear all this what happen with me earlier.

Try the wound VAC machine it is amazing! And ask for the silver dressing, when the nurses changed with this my wound did not get infected at all. Now it has been closed for a year. And I had to deal with this problem for 2 years... open and close, open and close. After the third surgery they put the VAC machine on the wound and it's wonderful.
