Holiday oxygen

I holiday abroad often and so far have had to manage without oxygen whilst away or I would have been charged so much for the oxygen that I could not afford the holiday. In case anyone faced the same dilemma - here is what I did about it. Since Vanessa told me about portable oxygen concentrators (POCs) I made some enquiries. I made bids on ebay (a first, and probably last for me) and also contacted a couple of companies who make POCs. I received a reply from two of them - and one has kept in touch and been very helpful. I spoke to a lady several times at SMILE and she was happy to keep me informed of what they had available. Their smallest and lightest POC, the Airsep Freestyle, was the one I wanted but the cost was nearly £3000. I asked if they had any demonstration models or used models that may be a little cheaper and was told they do sometimes and I could be kept on a lost of people interested. Well, I was and have just agreed to purchase an ex-demonstration machine (used only a few times) for £1500!! This is expensive, but I would have paid this to cover two holiday's worth of oxygen so it is comparatively cheap. It means I can now book a holiday and take my oxygen supply with me, without ever having to pay any extra costs.
If anyone else is interested, the company can easily be found by Googling.
