Holter monitor.

I wore a holter monitor for a week in December. the doctors wanted to have one because they thought my heart rate was a little low. it was in the 50s. and I kept feeling like my heart would stop and I keep having like skipped beats and feeling like I would pass out still happening but they have told me that nothing abnormal was found. what I'm worried about is that the week I was wearing it I noticed I was absolutely fine with hardly any symptoms and now im worried it wouldn't have picked anything up. can anyone reassure me please. I keep checking my heart rate and oxygen levels and I keep l getting dizzy and feel like fainting spells. but have had lots of tests. I have a blood test tomorrow for my thyroid because I had a baby 7 months ago and my thyroid was very overactive after I had him. the levels are apparently normal now but need testing again. pls someone anyone can put my mind at ease. am I gonna die? is my heart gonna stop ? sorry everyone just I find it easier to talk to others on here who maybe have been through this or have better knowledge then me. I suffer with severe health anxiety and have done for years xx

The good thing is that you are aware that you have health anxiety. Remember health anxiety causes us to believe things that are not true. sounds like you were ruminating and that your mind is going around and around everything trying to figure everything out in your head. That is a classic sign of chronic anxiety. I used to do that all the time and it’s miserable. One thing I learned is that I was never ever going to figure everything out in my head to my satisfaction. I had to rely on the facts.
just because you felt better the week you were wearing the monitor doesn’t mean nothing could possibly be picked up. It definitely would have picked up something within that week’s time. that’s how those things work. So that is one fact that you need to remember.
people have skipped heartbeats all the time with anxiety! I have them sometimes on a daily basis but I know they’re not harmful. It’s very common with anxiety. The more you pay attention to them the more you will have for sure.
the heart doesn’t just automatically stop. you are overthinking all of this. If you could just relax yourself and your mind you would see a huge difference!
I got to the point where I just let it all go! Yes I took a risk and let it go and just started getting busy with other things. I was tired of feeling miserable. After I let it go it was definitely worth it . All that time there was never anything to worry about. all my symptoms calmed down. Don’t give in to your mind. I do hope you start to feel better take care

Believe me I know what you mean. It’s a constant worry from one thing to the next. But that’s where for me I got to my breaking point. I thought either I will be miserable forever or I’m going to just trust that it’s all about anxiety and stress. and that’s the best thing I ever did.
keep thinking about what is realistic and also what are the facts. For instance, headaches are probably the most common sensation that people get and they are 99.9% caused by something that is non-serious. I get them all the time with anxiety.
i also had to learn that feelings are not facts. Just because I feel like something is wrong doesn’t mean that is a fact. another thing that anxiety does is that it causes something called catastrophizing thinking.
when you said you had a headache and then worried about Covid and then worried about neurological problems from that, that is an example of catastrophizing thinking.
its so much more peaceful when you let that go. Are you able to get any type of help for this such as counseling? It’s much easier to work through this when you have support. try to relax more. Take one day at a time and enjoy it because we can’t get back any days that have passed. Take care
