Home from hospital at last !

Hi Everyone, It seems so long since I logged on. I`m afraid I`ve had a rather horrible time of it. Dec 4th couldn`t breathe ( got COPD and asthma as wellas PMR )Lungs full of fluid so was in hospital from 4th - 14th Dec. Home for ten days gradually getting worse then admitted to hosp early hours of Christmas morning till January 5th. Pneumonia again. Two days later rushed in again high infection in the blood and worsening Pneumonia. So after another eight days on the ward I`m finally home. Lots of antibiotics and right lung still hurts but I`m to have a CT scan to investigate a shadow. The only good thing to come out of it is that the admitting consultant on duty on my first admission is the boss rheumatologist and he`s to try to get me on something other than pred once the others have finished with my chest. I think he fells they contributed to the fluid on the lungs and the enlarged stomach also doesn`t help the breathing. Anyway sorry to rabbit on but you all seem like old friendsand I hope you`ve all kept well. Shebob smile

Oh Shebob you poor thing but, hopefully, you are now over the worst and are being well looked after and spoilt at home until you feel strong again. If I could send you a hug via this post I would.......consider it sent anyway! Do hope that rheumatologist can come up with something special for you!

The only way left is up - and after all that has happened to you may the rest of 2010 see you getting much better.

As Mrs O says - a large group hug is needed. I add my arms to hers. :cuddle: That is a cuddle in case you don't recognise it.

Oh Mrs O and Mrs K thank you both so much for your hugs! Actually your words brought a few tears. But this is what is so great about this site- it`s like coming home to people who don`t know you but have the empathy and understanding and who really care.Let`s hope we all have a healthier 2010.
