Honestly, how safe is Vitamin C in the Vagina?

I've been using it since Saturday after my last dose of Metrogel. The gel clears the infection up, but it comes back. So I used the vitamin c for restoration, since I heard that's what it's good for. But the side effects I'm having with them are scaring. I upped my dose of vitamin c to twice a day on Tuesday, and I been doing it ever since. But the side effects. The itching is there, but slight. The vitamin c keeps the fishy smell away. But there's discharge. At times it's yellow/orangish. Sometimes it has white clumps (I believe that's the vitamin tablet). And sometimes it's brown (I'm spotting). It's scaring me. I want to keep these BC symptoms away. So much to the point where I am damn near desparation, and I'll try anything. But I don't want what I try to cause even more problems. I'm so sick of seeing those people faces at the doctor's office. All they give me is antibiotics. They never tell you where to go from there once the antibiotics are done. And I don't want the vitamin c to be something I have to use long term. I can't pop one in my vagina twice a day everyday to mask a bad smell. I need something else. Something that'll help me. Any suggestions would be great. Has anyone tried the probiotics vaginally? I don't want to douche b/c I know that isn't safe. That much I know. I'm just tired. I don't feel sexy. I don't ever think I'll be able to get involved with anyone, have a healthy sex life, or start a family.

I've been taking acidophilus orally. I was inserting it and when I got my period I didn't but it normally lasts 4 days for me. Well after I was inserting it my period lasted so much longer so I stopped doing that and started taking the acidophilus orally twice a day instead. I haven't had sex but its helping me for now.

I've been using the boric accident as a filter to keep it at bay. While I'm not having sex I use it and pray. I'm just hoping one day it will disappear. I'm married soooo within two days it appears. Then I use BA. I'm too scared of the long term effect however my husband makes me feel bad if it stinks and he can't stay up if I have white stuff coming out of me. So imagine how I feel. For me the BA is working. Still eating yogurt daily. Drinking vinger at night and probiotics.

Someone suggested boric acid to me, but my doctor said she didn't think it was good idea because it was acid. But she hasn't been doing anything for me except prescribe antibiotics that don't give me long term relief. Would you recommend doing my antibiotic treatment first and then the boric acid. Or just trying the boric acid all together? And do you use it all the time?

No research on my part for BA however I had sex last night and the night prior. I used on last night. If I didn't by today I will have discharge and fowl smell. So for me it works. So what I do is use two days in a row and then stop until I have sex again. I read somewhere before to use once a week when over infection. This is the problem with the antibiotics. Long term use can become addictive meaning when you may really need your body could resist. We all have to find an alternative to them at some point. Not only is it expensive but risky. I just pray that one day this chemical imbalance will just disappear but for now, yogurt, vinegar, probiotics and BA Is my BF.
