Dear All

Just wanted to share some good news with all the lovely fellow Hippies who have been so supportive, helpful and down right wonderful over the last few weeks since I came home from hospital. I saw my consultant this morning and all seems ok and I am allowed to drive again - can't wait! I am going out with my husband first before I venture out on my own. I can do most things now so I am going to concentrate on building up my stamina over the next 4 weeks so I can start to look after my grandchildren again. He has also put me on the waiting list to have my left hip done.

Hooray!

    Dear Linnet,

i am so pleased for you!  Well done. You sound so positive and it must be a comfort to all the nervous people waiting for their ops.

i am 5weeks post op today and I am walking freely with no pain, which is wonderful after a crippling couple of years.  I don,t need a crutch or even my stick any more.

this forum has been great!  How lucky are we to have found it!  It is like a world wide Sisterhood (sorry Gents!). Thanks girls!

Hi linnet, yes that's what I am doing over the next few weeks building up my stamina, it takes time and is important to rest and not do too much all at once but ease into everything again gradually. Good luck
