hi all 😃 been a while since I posted on hear. but I have been on sertraline since 14th of December last year. before I was on citalopram for about 20 weeks and switched. I have had a really up and down time of it. BUT now I'm feeling good 😃 like nearly back to 100 percent. and that's good because I was off work for 6 months with my anxity and panic. I locked myself in my bedroom for about the same amount if time. it's been a long old road like at times feeling broken down and giving up. i mean it took a good 7 months to feel better it's a slow working drug. but it dose work. so please if your having a hard time. please please please dont give up guys 😃. things will get better. I'm back at work now I'm not locked in a room. I can honestly say i have my life back in cheque 😃.. so to all stay strong and keep positive 😃

Thanks for posting this! I have had a prescription for zoloft for a long time now, debating on whether or not to take it cause the start up side effects are hell!! I have tried taking zoloft on at least 3 different occasions but havent gotten past the two month mark cause if its side effects. If i know its going to eventually work then maybe i can force myself to suffer through the horrific months of side effects

I'm not going to sugar coat it. it's hard and times wear you feel it's not going to end 😦 I went through a hard time side effects for 5 to 6 months. but on the up side the best thing I did was sticking to it 😃 I promise it will help eventually and you feel yourself again 😃. dont be scared to up the dose either if needed. I upped from 50 to 75 and the side effects wear not as bad as when I started 😃. good luck 😃 stay strong

Great to hear, thanks for giving people hope. I`m at 4,5 weeks at 100mg and my panic attacks and intrusive thoughts are basically gone and anxiety has decreased a lot, when does the physical heaviness of depression usually start to fade? I feel relaxed but so heavy just like before. Although my mood is much better.

Ryan, it's a year for you to feel almost normal. Do you still have anxiety? How often?

I don't take Sertraline, I am taking Duloxetine, but I think all antidepressants work slowly. I have been taking Duloxetine for 8 months, not feel normal yet.

I get tiny little bits if anxity. it's mainly in the morning when I get it. but I start work at 5 30am so but time 6 gets hear it's gone. and it's not bad anyway. just keep at it and you will be fine 😃
