Hormone blood test

Hi i got a text from my GP to make an appointment to discuss my hormone blood test results. Of course I can't get an appointment for a few days and my mind is wondering to the unknown, which I know is a no no.. but I'm just wondering since I got a text and not a phone call. could it be serious.

im 46 and the reason I wanted the blood test done was to see if I'm perimenopause..

I suppose what I'm looking for is , is there anything serious that could show up in these tests or could it be to do with perimenopause
