Hormone Imbalance

Hello. I posted previously about my long list of symptoms. I recently got my estrogen and progesterone tested and am looking to see if anyone can help me look at them and see if there is anything indicated in them. I should be hearing from my endocrinologist within a week or two, but I'm hoping to get some insight before then. The symptom I am most concerned with is the inability to lose weight, no matter what I do. I also have extreme fatigue, very inconsistent menstrual cycles and acne as well as mood swings and joint pain. My results are as follows:

Estrone (E1): 53 pg/mL

Ranges:

Premenopausal : 17-200

Postmenopausal: 7-40

Estradiol: 93 pg/mL

Ranges:

Premenopausal : 15 - 350

Postmenopausal: < 10="" fsh:="" 5.32="" miu/ml="" ranges:="" mid-follicular="" phase="" 3.85="" -="" 8.78="" mid-cycle="" peak:="" 4.54="" -="" 22.51="" mid-luteal="" phase:="" 1.79="" -="" 5.12="" post="" menopausal:="" 16.74="" -="" 113.59="" lh:="" 13.58="" miu/ml="" ranges:="" mid-follicular="" phase="" 2.12="" -="" 10.89="" mid-cycle="" peak:="" 19.18="" -="" 103.03="" mid-luteal="" phase:="" 1.20="" -="" 12.86="" post="" menopausal:="" 10.87="" -="" 58.64="" progesterone:="" 4.0="" ng/ml="" ranges:="" follicular="" phase="" 0.20="" -="" 1.50="" ovulation="" phase:="" .80="" -="" 3.00="" luteal="" phase:="" 1.7="" -="" 27.00="" post="" menopausal:="">< 0.15 - 0.80

my lh seems really off, and my fsh as well, considering i was on day 19 of my cycle as far as i can calculate. does it seem the ratio between my estrogen and progesterone is off as well? any insight would be much appreciated! 0.15="" -="" 0.80="" my="" lh="" seems="" really="" off,="" and="" my="" fsh="" as="" well,="" considering="" i="" was="" on="" day="" 19="" of="" my="" cycle="" as="" far="" as="" i="" can="" calculate.="" does="" it="" seem="" the="" ratio="" between="" my="" estrogen="" and="" progesterone="" is="" off="" as="" well?="" any="" insight="" would="" be="" much="">

    Perhaps I am missing it, but I dont see who they don't fit into the allowable range. Your FSH and LH are only a slight bit high for a non menopausal woman. These hormones regulate egg production and ovulation. They are both produced in the pituitary gland and triggered by estrogen. Without the trigger from estrogen to stop, the pituitary gland will continue to make FSH. LH triggers ovulation which starts progesterone.. The estrogen and progesterone continue to increase on your cycle.. and if you dont have sperm by the time the estrogen triggers FSH to stop... estrogen and progesterone drop and you bleed out.

    Understanding your results I believe would depend on where you were at in your cycle, as the allowable ranges of progesterone and estrogen vary (the first two are estrogen) But I'm thinking you should be looking at conditions that affect the pituitary glands.

      I was at day 19 in my cycle, as far as I know, so I should have been in the luteal phase. It's hard for me to keep track of them because, for example, I had an 11 day period from April 7th to April 18th and then I stopped for 4 days and started again on the 22nd for 7 more days. The tests were done on May 10th, 19 days after I started on the 22nd. My FSH falls into the follicular phase range, or mid cycle peak, and my LH is either too high or too low for anything but the postmenopausal range.

      I had an ultrasound of my ovaries done last month to see if they could find any reason for the pain I have all month long in that area and only found one 2.7 cm cyst on the right ovary. They couldn't, however, even visualize the left ovary, no matter what ultrasound method they tried. The is the side that causes me so many problems, on top of all my other symptoms.

      That is interesting about your left ovary. I too am wondering how it is related.. Please let us know what you find out.
