Horrible back pain

Hi again ladies. As I type this I am in unbelievable pain. I have been struggling with back pain for the last couple of weeks, but today is a whole other level of pain. My back (especially around my bra line area) is tight and aching in a way I've never experienced in my life. I made the mistake of bending over to cut a toe nail and when I stood up I almost couldn't catch my breath because of the pain. I couldn't even inhale entirely! I am afraid to move too much now, but I homeschool my two older daughters and have a 7 month old. Has anyone experienced this? What can I do to alleviate this pain? I've been doing stretches and taking ibuprophen but it doesn't help.

I have been dealing with back pain for over a year now but mine is lower mostly to lower right about inch above hip and across lower back ALSO HIPS , I cannot move or turn in bed or get off toilet without screaming!!!!! I grab bathroom door knob just to get off toilet , IT IS BREATH taking ! I stay on cold and hot pads throughout the day doesn't help much , if I walk up a ramp which is attached to my porch and up a side walk that is slightly up hill I suffer even worse. This last for weeks and weeks and finally gets a little better and then it comes back with full revenge just a few weeks later! I have diverticulitis so I can't take motrin this keeps me suffering and depressed NO LIFE!

I go through the same thing and I've had it for almost 3 years on and off. Same and exact location where you have your pain. And for a couple of weeks now, I've been having another back pain on my right upper back just below my bra strap. If I remember it right, when my hot flashes were slowly going away, the upper back pain came out of the blue. These perimenopause symptoms are driving my crazy. They come in waves and hopefully, my severe anxiety won't ever come back. It's the worst symptom for me. Take care ladies.

I had horrible pain in my upper back next to my left shoulder blade. Deep pain all the time. Had MRI and scans showed nothing. I think maybe it was spleen pain. I'm not sure. It eventually got better but now when I'm starting to get a hot flash it will briefly hurt right there along with other symptoms.

Have you tried ice or heat? See if either gives you some relief.

I've had the same sporadically and keeps me up all night. Thought at first might be fibroid but doesn't happen all the time so think it could have to so with low peri hormones. I sometimes will take Flexeril and it helps when advil doesn't work. Or combine ibuprofen with tylenol (3 ibu, 1 tylenol), that's what doctors recommend.

Thank you all for your responses and advice. I wish there was a way to take all of these aches and pains away for all of us! I ended up going to the doctor who as usual found nothing (which in a way I am grateful for)...and just told me to do stretches and try not to stress out (ya right). He also prescribed a muscle relaxer, but after reading about all of the possible side effects, I think I'll wait until I truly cannot handle the pain anymore. This drug sounds pretty powerful and I am by myself with my kids during the day. So back to my Vicks, Icy Hot, heating pad and ibuprofen I go 😕
