Horrible headache

I'm on day 9 of taking flu.
I have a horrible headache. I've taken meds but it isn't touching it. It's like shooting pains on one side. S it a side effect ? Has anyone else had this symptom with it ?

Had migraines that lasted half a day while starting prozac for, still recall really bad 2 of them. I took migraine medcine, like Exaderine, or advil with cafeen, and it helped me manage it. Trust me , they were horrible, couldn't get out of bed because of nasua and lightheadness for few hours.

I never get headaches. I've taken two paracetomol advance an hour ago. It hasn't touched it. Awful. I'm not used to head pain and it's scaring me. I didn't realise headache was a side effect.

Hi Kim,
Headaches are definitely a side effect of fluoxetine. I'm at 6 1/2 weeks and still get them, although they aren't as constant as they were at the beginning. I would recommend drinking a TON of water, and make sure you're eating enough sodium. Hope you feel better. Xx

I don't know if I can cope with this pain. I've been fine for a week. It started tonight. I was starting to feel really positive about this. Now I'm scared and it hurts.

you can and you will. The brain tends to be very dramatic , "life is over, this is gonna last forever" etc. are common thought patterns we all have, and you will too. Accept the headache, and try other medicine like advil.

Raiyan is exactly right...you can do this. The pain will ease. I know it's scary, particularly if you aren't accustomed to headaches. There have been so many days I've wanted to quit. It's only bc of the support of the people on this forum that I've stayed the course. And I'm glad I did. You will be too. Take the hard days one mjnute at a time and do whatever you need to do to get thru it. It will get better.

Yes. Still do. There are a lot of side effects that you may or may not get. Everyone is different. I wound up getting just about every side effect possible. It's just what happens as your body adjusts to the meds. I know it's hard, but try to be patient and take care of yourself. Xx

Thank you. It just came on from nowhere. Sort of shocked me at how painful it is. Like I said. I never get headaches. So it's quite frightening. I'm determined to persevere with the flu though. I know I will feel better and less anxious when they kick in.
