Horrid Hernia

Posted , 2 users are following.

I had emergency surgery for a perforated bowel and ileostomy in July 2016. I developed a ventral hernia which has grown to the size if a soccer ball. Most people think I'm pregnant. It has affected everything from my breathing (my lungs, diaphragm, stomach large and small intestines and liver are involved) to my balance not to mention pain and low self-esteem. My family doctor says no doctor in this area will touch it because it's so involved. What to do? I can't go on like this. Binders dont help. I look like a freak. Can't even fit in a booth at a restaurant. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
