Depending on how long you staying in. I was in overnight only so changed into Nightee for a few hrs before I went as I'd bought it especially. I didnt get back to ward til late and stayed in op gown that night. Washing bits, slippers and dressing gown for before op when you're walking around in hospital gown. Few magazines or book as could be long wait before going down depending on place on list. Undies. Sanitary towels just a few don't need to bulk out bag with packets. I didnt bleed at all. Lip balm handy as mouth gets dry. If you in longer you may want own towel after shower but they do have them if you need them. Any meds that you have to take. Anything essential they will have anything else could always be brought in for you if in any longer. Good luck smile

    Hi Jo,

At least 2 nighties, slippers and dressing gown, wash stuff obviously, plenty of reading material, magazines especially as you might not be able to concentrate too much on anything, I also took my Tablet in, Something for wind pain and constipation, though the hospital should give you stuff while you are in there, mobile phone, I alos took in a pillow from home as the hospital ones are awful.

Also loose clothes for when you leave hospital, and I forgot to say that the pillow also comes in handy to hold on your tummy on the journey home.
