Hot chocolate

our son bought us a coffe pod machine for Christmas.  I had the odd cappuccino but I'm a tea girl really. And then I discovered Hot Chocolate!!!

Fatal. I try to limit myself to a couple a day but when you are up in the night it's difficult not to have another one, my excuse is that I deserve it. Anyway I am enjoying one right now.

Any my of you naughty night eaters?

I can't remeber who it was who posted on here about the heat wave, brought up a very good point. Whilst I was in hospital it was pretty warm, I had one of those little hand held fans , not the most powerful in the world, but totally appreciated.

i think us at home must remember to keep hydrated and cool too.

I am now going to make the most of the next two weeks. Wimbledon starts tomorrow.  I can watch it for the first time and not feel guilty. comfy chair, ice pack, Pims, strawberries and cream......

ive been to bed, no luck tonight so back to chair

good night my hippie friend, may all your nights be comfortable

I'm having trouble sleeping tonight! I've done really well since my op on Tuesday, but tonight I'm wide awake! I may have to purchase some hot chocolate tomorrow!

Got 3 hours good preoperative sleep here in hospital. Fasting and third on list so no hot choolate for me. Tried meditation tape, counting backward from 100 but think that's my quota of sleep.

Yes I too love a cup or rather a mug of hot chocolate and it's been a comfort when I've  been up a few sleepless nights. You have a lovely attitude I hope you thoroughly enjoy your Wimbledon fortnight and recover well

Hi Carol ... cool .... that is the best attitude ... to surrender to what is and actually like it ....eating habits are so off ... peanut butter on toast is my go-to snack at night - I am telling my self that my mind is distracted then so I can fall asleep ... oh welll ....

    warm hug

    Hiya Carol,

No, you are not quite there -try hot chocolate with added Amarula liquer: we learnt about this in South Africa, and tis amazing.

Especially at 3pm and can't sleep after hip op!

Good luck with the recovery, and hope not too warm for you in the sun in your bikini! will you be cheering on our laura robson, or the new unseeded Swiss girl Belinda?!
