what in the world?! My face is extremely hot and my temp is around 98.9-99.3 but my hands and feet are like ice?! Is this all part of peri menopause? If so, how do you deal with it?? Also, my body is hot but I am cold! This comes and goes all day everyday! 😦

Hi Tara! I get the same thing. My face and ears get warm and flushed, but my feet are freezing! I am hot one minute and frigid the next. This goes on all day long. I am not sure I exactly deal with it, lol, but I try to find things that help. I dress in layers. Usually a short sleeved or tank top and then I put on a cardigan, etc. That way I can just go back and forth with how my body is. I also keep my house cool, even in the winter. I can't stand to be warm, so I would rather have it colder. My poor kids with their hat and gloves on in the house...just kidding, but they are great for dealing with it! As far as my freezing feet..even though they are cold, it makes me warmer if I have socks on. Does that even make sense?? I haven't found a way to deal with that yet. Sometimes putting slippers on helps for a bit, but then I get warm. I can't win 😃 Just know you aren't alone!

Has your iron been checked? When my feet and body (just cold/chills) were cold I was having those heavy periods.

I typically have low red blood count so it very well could be low again. Hopefully it will all resolve before long 

I would take a good iron pill daily for a couple weeks then cut back to when your periods are going. Once I took iron pills, spinich and the protein daily, I wasn't feeling cold as I was. I still take iron just in case, it was very low.

The nurse called me the other day--- checking up on me.. But she reminded me to take an iron pill WITH vit C because it absorbs better.. Luckily mine has the C in it. She also said to eat iron foods which I am.. She said it takes awhile for it to build up which I knew.. Anyways, thought I'd share...

Oh, goodness! It is miserable! I am constantly checking my temperature and worrying it is more than just hormonal?! I guess since my periods are still every 28-29 days , it makes it hard to believe it is perimenopause although all symotoms pount in that direction

Yeah, you would think so?! I should probably take my BP as well. I need to start doing that but then again, I will look funny with a BP cuff around my arm 24/7 😉

hi! did you ever get any answers for your symptoms?

    this is me exactly!!

face flushing most evenings and ears too, my nose gets hot.

but my feet are ICE cold even with socks and warm shoes. They are sweaty too.

Then suddenly once they warm up (in the evenings) or after a workout my big toes get red and hot and burn until i cool them off.

no doctor so far has a clue as all my blood tests are normal.

    thanks!

    lauren
