Hot Flashes and Other Symptoms

I’ve been diagnosed with endometriosis for about a year and a half. I’m 18 now. Lately I’ve been noticing some strange symptoms that I think may be related to endometriosis. I have had very bad hot flashes during my period and a lot of dizziness and nausea. My period was almost 2 weeks late and I have a lot of swelling in my lower abdomen. My periods had also finally started to get normal and then in the last two months, they got thrown off. The first one lasted 12 days and the second was very late. Is it normal for endometriosis to make things this irregular, or could there be another cause?

I've got endo and also experience the dizziness, hot flashes and nausea as well. A noted link between endo and thyroid conditions has been raised (obviously no proper study has been conducted, as endo is still very uncharted). However I was diagnosed with Graves disease, and my mum who suffered with endo was diagnosed with Hashimoto's, both of which can affect your periods. If healthcare is not an issue where you are then it might be worth while getting a thyroid test as my periods used to be very irregular. My thyroid is currently stable and my periods are fairly good now, ranging from 28 to 31 day cycles and lasting no more than 5 days. But I'm still getting the hot flashes, nausea and dizziness from time to time. It's currently my 'shark week' and my abdomen looks like a bloated whale carcass, it's just another cruel symptom of this massive suck fest.

DO "NOT" WAIT . Endometriosis turns into endometriomA... And those cysts will get bigger and bigger. I have stage 4 and need surgery soon. I was always told "well it's normal to have pain" Until the doctor told me.. "ya, you shouldn't be throwing up from the pain, or be constipated and staying in bed all week.." So I finally at 30 yrs old went for a pap.. take care of it ASAP.

danni07 is right, Doctor should always be your first point of call. You know your body better than anyone else, if you're experiencing new symptoms then please make sure you speak with a professional. Sorry you're going through all of this, it's horrible not having answers and trying to figure it all out. Sending much love and support.
