Hot Flashes that wont quit.

these past 4 days have been hell.. hospital visit, anxiety, you name it.. Now today these hot flashes wont stop. Im in air conditioning, and im not even hot but i keep getting extremely hot. Earluer i was nauseous and had hot flases and cold sweats.. Naturally i assumed it was a heart attack because im insane.. I had an EKG done 3 days ago.. Is that enough to know its hot a heart attack? In my mind i know its probably a panic attack, but i need to hear it from others to make sure i shouldnt be at the ER..

If they checked your heart and it came out ok and you have anxiety that is what it is. Trying the nose breathing techniques slow and steady.

When I have hot flashes my pulse does increase but that is normal.

I have found taking a stroll can help as well.

Do you get a precursor to your flashes? I am post menopausal 9 years and have not stopped getting the sweats. Before I sweat I get a strange feeling like anxious, then I get a dizzy spell and bam I go into the sweats. Just awful.

How often do you get them? Don't you think 9years post menopausal is time enough? What has your experience been like?

I get them frequently, mostly when stressed either through exercise or work. I have been done for 8 years, the hot flashes were gone completely until I was my mother's caregiver when she was dying

They just randomly came on. I hardly ever get them this bad. The nausea has pretty much stopped but a slight headache.. It went from nice weather to extremely hot weather overnight, then cooled down again. Maybe just the difference in temps had my body all confused and then my anxiety got involved? not sure.

I am in Toronto Canada and the weather is so hot. I have stayed in all day with the air on and still get the sweats.

Im a bit over a year post and still get them. Nothing like awakening in a heap of sweat. I thought they were suppose to stop at some point. It was way worse in peri though. i figure its a good thing to sweat maybe it keeps the blood pressure level.

Its been in the upper 80s where i am this week. Its more when it has that humid edge to it that i start feeling sick from it. Right now its just that beating sun hot but cools in the evening, so not that bad yet.

If you have had the all clear at the hospital then it is anxiety.

Acceptance is one of the biggest problems with anxiety once you accept it it will become a bit easier.

Consider therapy it teaches you how to cope
