Hi. I am sorry about your discomfort. Maybe it's an opportunity for you to assess your HRT....Premia has medroxyprogesterone acetate, correct? Why are you on it? Do you know it is considered breast carcinogenic? Why aren't you on prescription bioidentical HRT? That is B-Estradiol + natural progesterone, preferably both of them in gel or cream form? Otherwise Oral Micronized Progesterone (very different from medroxyprogesterone) might do the trick for your hot flushes according to Dr. Jerilynn Prior info. at the Cemcor site. I take it and I do not have any hot flashes. But I confess I am biased about the subject: only plant based or biodentical HRT for me. Regards.

Hi Dianna. Gels & creams are always a safer choice and if necessary the prescription oral micronized progesterone (OMP) UK  brand name Utrogestan for flushes, sleep, etc. It’s better to do the cyclic scheme, taking 5 days to a week off/break each month to allow the system to make a clearance & reset . Otherwise the body gets overloaded.  X.

      Hello TeresaJS

Well I have wonderful news to report.  After my visit to my mums GP who took me on as a new patient, he tested me for 30 things eg progestrone, testorone and all the cancers cell test you could think of. Anyway the findings were, I have FINISHED MENOPAUSE.. FABO (me didnt know this), secondly I have a mild case of underlying thyroid which was causing me to be fatigues for a couples of throughout last three months.  So thyroxine has been added to my medication.  Thirdly I am going to be weened of my HRT slowing, taking about 6-12 months reducing the dosage each month. No signs of Ovarian Cancer or Pancreatic cancer, this test was somehting I requested after the passing of a work colleague and friend.  BTW I am 56 years of age. My family GPS are so F@%^^$# its sad, but they have lost a patient of over 35 years.  Oh well enough rambling my Health is EXCELLEnt.  Thankyou for your concerns....xxx Dianna
