House dust mite allergy.

I've been allergic to house dust mite for years now so I'm interested in the immunotherapy shots or pills but my question is, after the the course is completed, will I get rid of the house dust mite allergy once and for all or will I have to take the shots or the pills for the rest of my life.

    in my case was given shots a little at a time of the allergen to build up an immunity . once that is achieved never had allergic issues again. was allergic to cat dander.
