How accurate is ORA? Is ORA accurate, including for astigmatism?

I don't know but I got a lot of links when I did a search for ORA accuracy astigmatism. Also, I had cataract surgery after having had LASIK and they often use ORA for that, but I didn't have ORA and mine turned out fine.

The surgeon prior to surgery based on the biometric measurements they do on your cornea a week or so before surgery can calculate the power and cylinder + axis your eye should require. But it can never be exact, since the IOLs typically come in 0.5D steps. Also how the cornea ends up after it heals can cause some uncertainty too especially with regards to residual astigmatism. Based on the calculations, the surgeon orders the IOL with the closest power a few days before the surgery.
