How are we all doing?

Just wondered how we're all doing as it seems pretty quiet on here at the mo...
My week so far - lost a further 2lbs so that's 2st 3lbs at the end of week 10!
Tried a new recipe - a roasted cauliflower bake:
Chop a cauliflower into small florets & roast in the oven with a couple of diced carrots for 45mins GM5. Whilst that's doing make a sauce using chopped onion & mushrooms in 500g passata with 1-2tbs Worcestershire sauce, sprinkle of sweetener (takes out acid of tomato) & season to taste. Bring to boil then simmer til you have a nice thick sauce. Grill/fry in fry-light a few bacon rushers (fat removed) til cooked then chop into small pieces & set aside. Take dish from oven, stir & top with the sauce then the chopped bacon. Sprinkle some half fat cheddar on the top (be careful not to put too much or there'll be consequences!) & bake for further 45mins. Serve with chicken or whatever takes your fancy!!! It's several of your 5 a day & you can play with the sauce to your own taste, maybe chilli or curry flavours but in my opinion cauliflower never tasted so good!!!

Wow, what great loss you`ve achieved! And only in 10 weeks! Yay! so happy for you!! Is 2 lbs what you`re losing approx every week, or do you lose very differently every week?
?I`d be thrilled to lose 2 lbs every week, I think for someone who`s been struggling for years and years just to lose a few grams, 2 lbs is a great loss!!
?Thanks for your recipe too. Sound delicious!! Yum! I love cauliflower!
?So, I`m 7 days in - today actually. Lost 1,2 kgs....and even though that might seem small, I`m happy. Haven`t been exercising either. I was allready eating clean and low fat, so no side effects, even though I tried to experiment with pizza, chicken wings and aioli Going back to low fat though, still anxious to get those side effects....
?You`re doing really well, Cath!!

Slow & steady is best. I admit that I'm not necessarily as strict at times as I should be but I'm a million times better than I was! Some people suffer greatly with side effects &others not so much. When I'm 100% to plan I admit I suffer from a bit of constipation so then I'll eat something I shouldn't just to get things moving again & it works for me.
I lost 9lbs in my 1st week, 6lbs in my 2nd & since then anything up to 4lbs except for when I completely derailed coupled with totm & fluid retention & I gained 3lbs!!! I see my GP every month & she's so supportive so that helps...as does coming I here x

Hi Cath,
A great loss for you! I'm about 10 days in and I lost between 5-6 lbs last week. I stayed at 1300 calories everyday and also went to the gym 5 days out of the week. I'm really determined. I've had my first side effects this week. On Sunday I ate 2 cookies (healthy) but they had a lot of natural peanut butter. I did have some oily stuff but no cramping, etc. Tonight I ate a little too much pasta but other than that I've been staying on track. I go back to see my.family doc a month after I started. I hope I've lost more by the end of my second week. Your recipe sounds amazing, Cath. Have you tried cauliflower rice?

I'm a cauli lover I have to admit & anyone who does slimming world will know that its a popular veg choice - in fact a friend of mine eats it everyday & accredits her 7st loss in 10months to cauliflower, though her husband & kids are sick I the smell!
I do have cauliflower rice & Sainsburys now do beetroot rice which I might try soon. Have you made cauliflower pizzas? x

Hi cath that's strange that you are talking about cauliflower, my daughter goes to s/was and I like cauliflower and broccoli she was telling me about cauliflower rice so I have added it to my shopping list as doing my online order and I have found cauliflower cous cous as well.
I lost 2lbs this week but that's me weighing myself at home where I have been getting weighted at the doctors the first 2 weeks
So this is my third week i'm now 20 stone 4 pounds 129 kilograms so I think I have worked it out right now I have lost .0, 9 kilograms this week p
I am just going to keep following the slimming world eating plan as it suits me as i like the free foods it better than callorie counting although the food diary shows me my callorie anyway but I think I need to cut down on my carbs and t0he amount of sugar in some fruit is unbelievable.
So I'm watching this this week too.
I hope everyone is doing well
I haven't been on the site much as not keeping well, I just thought I would update my weight as it's been a Wednesday every week that I have been weighed
Good luck
Loraine

I was weighed at doctors yesterday and I've lost 2 stone 1lb and that my first months weigh in and I'm really pleased with that but have a long way to go yet but my scales say I've lost more that what the docs said but it's probably because I had clothes on lol. I do stick to low fat most of the time but I do have a treat on a weekend but don't have any problems or side effects.

Susan that is an amazing achievement - there aren't many eating plans that you can lose 2st in a month...I thought my 2st in 10 weeks was good! Keep at it & the scales will keep going in the right direction.
