How bad is your COPD?

Posted , 3 users are following.

The reason I am asking, is that some people on here, have it bad, some mild, and for some getting worse, so bad is yours on a daily basis.

I was diagnosed 3 years ago, and its getting worse. Walking 3/4 yards now, makes me out of breath, and sometimes on a bad day, just getting out of bed leaves me breathless.

I stopped smoking, and using e-cigs.

I have a Nebulizer, have 3 inhalers which dont help much, so how bad does it get for you, if you dont mind me asking?

Thanks Ron.

Hi there! I was diagnosed a year ago. Given the fact you are so  breathless on such little excertion, you may want make an appointment with your specialist to be re evaluated and to get the proper medication needed to make your feel better. I bought a finger oxomitre to measure my oxygen levels while sitting a also on excertion. That is a good guide. If watch carefully that my levels on excertion dont fall below 90. I have learned how to do pursed llip breathing when I go up andn the stairs. That really helps. I think the soon you can see your Doctor te better it will be for you.

     Good Luck

    For what it's worth, I have stagel 4, very severe.  I have a fev1 level at 29.

    Am on oxygen 24/7.

Stopped smoking 10 years ago. I was originaly diagnosed about 17 years or so ago. Had first bout of bronchitis 23 years ago.

Getting out of bed and dresed can be loads of fun. Shaving,  even more so.

if you are interested to hear more, we can swap tales of woe. Seriously though,

    I wish you the best.

Maybe I'll hear from you soon.
