How before Tibolone kicks in?

HI

At 68 I am still experiencing hot flushes, about ebvery 50 minutes. I've been off and on HRT but, since I developed small clots in one leg, I've been taken off HRt and put on Livial. Fifteen days later I'm still experiencing hot flushes. How long before it kicks in?

Livial is brilliant Helen - you should be nearing some results shortly - worked quite quickly for me - hang in there - found my flushes almost instant with stressfull scenario - know it is hard but try to stay as calm as you can. All the best, Loui x

    Hi Helen

I was on Premique low dose which has now disappeared off the shelves sadly, (I am 64) have been on HRT for 12 years, had 2 years off in 2010 but I had Tibolone at the beginning of my HRT and have just been put back on it as the replacement for Premique has made my breasts tender and given me bleeding. I will start the tibolone tomorrow but it did take a while back in the day to take effect, probably gradual over 3 weeks or so as I recall. Just try for the month to give it a chance and go back to discuss with the Doctor, I will post my results from this change in a while. Good luck. Sandra

      Hi Sandra

Thanks for your enouraging reply. I'll stick at Tibolone for a month, always hoping of course that tomorrow I will be hot flush free. Patience, patience, patience. :-)
