You are not alone. I have been in the bed all morning hiding under the covers. My hubby is so worried about me.

I am so sorry about what you are going through. I wish I could give you a hug. It would be great to have a live chat with a bunch of fellow meno/peri ladies in real time to talk about all of this mess.

thank you for taking the time to answer my question!

If you havent already you will need to change your diet, no trigger foods at all, it really helps, look up the acid watchers diet and there is a gastritis cook book.

i dont eat diary refined carbs or sugar, high estrogen = high histamine, and you get heavy periods in peri another sign of high estrogen x

I hope you're feeling much better now. I feel like every woman's anxiety here is mine as well. I've lost so much of my confidence and appetite for life, I no longer recognize the person in the mirror. There is absolutely nothing that brings me joy. I feel empty, bewildered, and petrified. And reading that it can last a decade (or longer!) is dreadful. Please do reach out to me if you need someone to talk to; I sure need a listening ear and a crying shoulder myself. X

I feel the same way, terri. I feel like 1/4 of the person I was before I started experiencing these symptoms. Every time I feel something strange, it triggers panic and anxiety and then I feel nauseous and the vicious cycle begins. It's so exhausting and it's so hard to want to be social and want to do things. I feel like I'm missing out on my friends gathering again after CoVid, and hanging out with my teenage niece. I really hate the feeling of being scared all the time - it's not who I was before.

I had a scare this morning woke at 2am choking with acid reflux, never had it before I was terrified 😮 ive had indigestion in the past but nothing like that. Still suffering with this horrendous itching to, antihistamines dont seem to be helping either. Sending you hugs 🤗 xx

oh sarah ive had that before, its bloody horrible bless you, apparently histamine increases stomach acid and with all the hormone fluctuations im not surprised we have reflux, camomile tea is a natural antihistamine and it calms us, give it a try lovely xx
