How can I relieve this pain on my own?

I’m pretty sure I have genital herpes. I don’t know if it’s HSV-1 or HSV-2, hopefully 1 because I’ve read that it’s less recurrent. My timeline goes something like this, about a month ago I have unprotected oral sex with a friend for the first time, a week later I was down with strep throat. Then two weeks later from that (a few days ago), I had a sore spot on my vagina/inside of labia majora that I assumed was an ingrown hair. Two days later, there were two open ulcers in its place. That was Monday and here we are on Saturday and there’s no type of healing, or crusting over. They just seem to be getting worse and more painful, and more keep popping up. There’s about 12 ulcers and blisters now all together. I’ve had flu-like symptoms for the past two days as well. I don’t have insurance or much money, after paying bills, so a trip to urgent care is out of the question. And I’d be unable to pay an emergency room bill in the long run. I also don’t want to waste money going to a doctor, when I’m pretty sure this is genital herpes. I can deal with it myself, for now, I just want to lessen the pain. Is there anything I can do now? My vagina is very closed pocketed, so it’s hard for the ulcers to get any air or dry out. It’s not unbearable pain, just bothersome. Any tips and tricks from HSV veterans would be greatly appreciated. My apologies if any of this was TMI.

I m a man with genital herpes. My pain during outbreaks is tolerable. I just use antiviral medications like Famvir, acyclovir or valtrex and pain goes in one day. If it is herpes so you should start medications.
Sorry if i can not give you much advice.
Hopefully it will not be herpes.
My best wishes

I live in the UK so don’t have worry of paying for medical care but I understand how hard it can be if you can’t afford to see a doctor.
Honestly for me the only things that helped with the pain of my first outbreak were Luke warm baths with Epsom salts (I also had to pee in the bath for the first few days due to the pain), an ice pack wrapped in a towel between your legs helps, and to be honest the only way I could get any relief and sleep was by having a few glasses of wine.
If after a week or so your symptoms haven’t gone I would say you should try and see a doctor if at all possible as it may not be herpes but an infection that needs medication to clear xx

But I’ve not had medication for any other outbreaks as they’ve been quite mild and the sores were gone within a week.
There’s a supplement called l-lysine which might be worth looking into, it’s supposed to help prevent outbreaks occurring xx
