How can I stop stressing about it?

I recently got diagnosed with acid reflux and my ENT doctor recommended me to take omeprazole 40mg every day and I'm picking up my medicine today, but can't take it since I already ate this morning, but since I have to wait tomorrow, can anyone give me a helpful advice on how to tell myself that my symptoms are just acid reflux? When I eat food mostly, I always feel like the food is stuck in my throat from what I just ate and it causes me to panic since I feel like I will choke on that food. It will just give me that sensation for a few days. I'll sometimes rush to the ER, just to find out nothing is really stuck there. Has anyone had this problem and would like to share how they manage with it? I would really like some help on that.

I think this VERY common with acid reflux. it could be that the throat is a little bit inflamed from acid exposure. Give the meds a try and cut out all fizzy drinks, tea, coffee and alcohol and see if it starts to get better. its a very frightening feeling and when your throat is bad it may be worth sticking with soft foods only. it also means you dont think about the swallowing too much. Hope it works out for you quickly

Thank you Janet for the helpful advices! I'm definitely going to try cutting out some fizzy drinks and eat something soft until I have my acid reflux under control with some medication. Hope you take care! And I'm hoping as well that the medication can work pretty soon, it's so hard for me to eat solid foods because of it.
