How common is HSP

My 6 year old daughter developed HSP a year ago thankfully she is ok now but over the weekend our 7 year old next door neighbour now has a v bad case of it. They are best friends but surely this cannot be linked?

    Hi Paul, they do say it is more common in boys up to the age of 8. I developed this when I was 18, 5 years ago now and at the time I was working in a nursery.  They said I contracted it from my body not being able to fight off a strep throat infection. Once I was back on my feet I was told I was able to go back to work as this wasn’t contagious it is more of an immune system defect so I wouldn’t have said they were connected.
