How do boys contract herpes type 2?

Posted , 4 users are following.

I'm trying to get all knowledge for my new negative partner (even though he's not bothered in the slightest) I still feel better in myself knowing these things

He even says to me 'heck if I do get it least we don't have to wrap up anymore'

But my question

How does a man contract herpes?

I heard that herpes goes through mucus membranes

So if my mans 'balls' touched a herpes sore (theoretically) could he get it?

Or does a certain part of his body have to get in contact

Is it just the penis or is it any part of the genital region he can get it from

Can he get it if his pubic area touched my pubic area

What about if his thigh touched a sore??

Someone explain like I'm a 5 year old please

I heard it's harder for men to get it

But I can't understand why

He can get it even if he wears a condom. He can also get it even if you don't have an outbreak. Just by your pubic areas touching he can get it. He can also get it by going down on you. It doesn't matter if you have an outbreak or not. If you've been diagnosed with herpes he is very likely to get it. If he loves you he'll just have to accept the fact that engaging in sexual activity puts him at a very high risk of getting herpes.

It's not high risk at all haha 😂 When using a condom and supressives the risk of him getting it is like 1% a year

Doesn't sound high risk to me

High risk, low risk, whatever you want to call it there is still a risk. Unlike other stds herpes is one that you can still get using a condom. I'm newly diagnosed. Been in a monogamous relationship with the same guy for years. I've never noticed an outbreak on him. I've been tested before came back negative fast forward to today I'm positive. Between talking with my doctor and doing my own research that's where I got the information for the reply I gave you. The way you asked the question and asked to explain it to you like a child made me think you didn't know. But then you reply to me with statistics and percentages. So why ask if you already know? Maybe you just didn't like my answer since you laughed it off. Idk. What I do know is condoms are not total protection from herpes. I don't know about percentages or anything but there is a risk.

No because obviously I knew the facts about percentages I even mentioned that in my post

I wanted to know how a man can co tract it on his body

Women are more likely to contract it due to us having more entrances to a mucus membrane or whatever

But a man just had the tip

So I wanted to know how else he can get it if the tip is covered

Livelife im going to have to agree. Even with a condom he is still likely to catch it from the "shedding".. I am a male with HSV2 and I can tell you that if his testicles slap against you, (which from experience we all know gets a bit messy when your having fun)... then odds are he will have a chance of catching it and possibly not even show signs for months. As far as him getting it on his thigh from touching a sore?! That is a possiblilty only because the sores are HIGHLY contageous..

Anyform of genital to genital contact is a high risk only because of shedding. Unless your on antivirals there is a higher chance of spreading to non infected individuals.

I get that it can be contracted through sores

I am a girl obviously so I know how girls get it but I'm sure I heard it's harder for a man to get it because they don't have as many mucous membranes or whatever down there?

So I thought to get it they would have to have an opening on part of their genital area
