How do I cope? I was hospitalised for one month in January 2020

Good afternoon.
My story starts from October 2019. I had been getting bad pains like razor blades for the back passage when going to the bathroom and having blood spots on tissue and had rashes in the same area. Went to see a colorectal surgeon who said i had a fissure and needed it surgically repaired which i had done. unfortunately it was not successful and had to have it done again in December 2020. I did not recover from the second procedure well i was fatigued for days and i was leaking yellow like substance from the back passage i was told that would stop as it was due to skin tags that were removed. My rashes never disappeared and had various amounts of steroid creams and tablets between October till present .
Now comes what happened next, in January i had a stomach pain which gradually got worse over 24hrs. I could not stand, sit, lie down etc as the pain was so severe i was rushed to a&e by ambulance. I could not pass urine or the other way too.
I was then admitted into hospital where i was pumped with various antibiotics and painkillers. After a week or so and two CT scans and an MRI they found a perforation in my lower bowel plus a large abscess near my lower right bowel. The doctors decided that they were going to drain that area which they did over two weeks the drain was in me while i was not allowed to eat or drink. I was given TPN (Total Parental Nutrition) for two weeks. I spent one month in their care and like everyone who has been in hospital it was really tough. Doctors said i could have chrons but needed to have a colonoscopy which was done six weeks later. Before all this i was having to go to the bathroom too often but that has decreased may the abscess was putting pressure on my bladder and the leaking has stopped again as of the abscess.
The doctor doing the procedure said i have diverticulitis but need the gastro doctors to talk to me. Well i got a call yesterday and had my appointment by telephone. He did not really give me any answers to my problem just that another MRI is needed and i got to see the colorectal surgeon again in my follow up. He wants to see if its chrons but he also says its diverticulitis does he not know from the reports.
I am still having bad pains in my lower right abdomen, upper abdomen and left side of my abdomen too and can be really bad at times. My stomach is burning maybe that is acid who knows but i am in discomfort most of the time but can not get an answer from anyone. I cant e even to the basic things in life like walking without being in pain. I hear it can take up to 6 months to improve. I am always tired and need to sleep, my knees ache and lost so much weight and muscle i used to be at the gym 4 times a week but can not do any exercise as of the pain. Foods its a trial and error i know but i fear food now as i everything that i have may cause a flare up. Been off work now for so long as of the pain etc. Has anyone taken fybogel and does it help? How much fibre do you consume in a day? I have been drinking about 1.5 to 2 litres of water a day.
My story has gone on for so long but i am at my wits end and just need some relief from all this so i can resume some sort of life.

If your having a flare up best thing to do is drink broth for a few days lay of the fiber as your colon prob inflamed. after a few days to a week according on pain eat white floured products for a few days light meals no meats or protein nothing that passes through. once its settled then eat full fiber. i also take two mild laxative every evening. i came of all meds as that messes up your colon and intestines.
i had an abscess in my colon that popped and caused a hole turned me septic lost 3/4 of my intestines. I drink a fiber drink every day eat lots of veg with high fiber and then switch to the low fiber veg if l feel bloated. Everyone is diffrent but meds will mess you up. look up foods that dont pass through the colon and stick to that for a week see if the flare up goes down..

I am so sorry you had to lose part of your intestines how are you coping i hope well as you can be. When you mean foods that do not pass through the colon is that just liquid diet all the time? The fibre drink is it fybogel i am wary of taking it as do not want to be in the bathroom or there is lactalose. The only meds i am taking are omaprezol, gaviscon and paracetamol. what meds mess things up? Can not believe how much this has effected my daily life. Please stay well and safe. Respect to the NHS
