How do I stop taking antidepressants flupenthixol + melitracen

I have been taking antidepressants for a few days now. I'm a college student who went through breathlessness problem last month. Done ECG, X-ray and Echo. Consulted many doctors. But at the end Cardiologist prescribed me stress reliving medications such as Ivabradine and multivitamin. In that same day I went to ENT to get my throat checked out, I had tonsil infection, breathlessness' cause. I was feeling tightness inside my throat. He prescribed me a few meds, Flupenthixol + Melitracen (antidepressantl), Fexofenadine (allergy med), Fluticasone propionate BP (drop for nose).

A year ago, I had this testicle problem where I felt pain around my testicles, I consulted doctors after that. I got Erectile dysfunction after that, but it became OK all of a sudden. I was trying to get away from stress and it worked ED was gone. But the discomfort is still there, even now. I don't know why.

I want to quit this medication, because I feel like it's reducing my sex drive (masturbation actually) and having problems with erection, even this post says if patient has testicle problem he may withdraw (not sure if by reducing dosage).

I want to reduce the dosage. Please help. I DON'T think tonsil infection has anything to do with this antidepressant. I've been taking this medication for 4 days now. 2 tablet every day, 12 hourly Flupenthixol 0.5 MG + melitracen 10 MG. Question is can I quit? And if so, how can I?

Anything to do with medication you have to speak to your doctor firstcry

They won't have had time to get into your system yet so just stop taking them.  If you would rather masturbate than be depressed that is up to you.

Hi, Just like with any anti-depressant, you have to go off while you are UNDER a doctor's care!!  They will help you get off of it.  Whatever you do, please do NOT go off of them cold turkey! Blessings to you, Leah.

The poster has only been on them 4 days.  I can't see them being addictive in that time.  There is no need for a staged withdrawal. x
