How do the meds fix the problem

Hi.. I think my anxiety and depression is related to work, how does the meds help to solve the problem? I would like to stop work but that's not feasible, so the merry-go-round continues.   I'm not enjoying the job, am not motivated in work nor out of work and feel generally miserable in my thoughts. Sertraline is making me feel less anxious/depressed today (on day 12) but how will it help resolve what I think the problem is????  Sometimes I think my mind just completely out of balance and touch with reality given most people have to work for a living. Does anyone have similar thoughts?

It really is one day at a time. I went for a little walk in the sunshine today. I used to go round that lake twice at such speed. I felt like an old woman today. At least it’s better than yesterday. Thanks for your support.

Starting over is always hard. Perhaps a lateral transfer would help you. A new position?

I quit my job. I solved that problem! But not before I got a position that made sense for me elsewhere.

I quit my job. I solved that problem! But like many in the sandwich generation I have a lot on my plate. I didn't quit before I got a position that made sense for me elsewhere.  I'm not doing well on the sertraline. I'm on 25mg and I am experiencing acid reflux  so badly that I would rather the anxiety and full blown panic. At least there is other options. I'm going to go back to celexa or go it alone. I'm scared not to take anything for the anxiety because we all know who debilitating it can be.

Mediation. A signing bowl. Will have to be a priority.

      Hi Michelle.

Sadly there no scope for a lateral move, boss has resigned and I'm left holding the baby and not a clue what I'm doing. Am normally confident and in control and know my stuff but my head is a fog, I can't read to take things in, how's that when words in front of me. Sometimes I feel like I can ant string a sentance together. I can only hope this will all pass sometime soon.

I have used sertraline before and it helped but think I'm anxious and depressed with age and hormones.

By the way try Advanced Gavascon for the reflux, it works for some people. Only the advanced  one mind.
