How do you deal with depression on a day to day basis?

How do you deal with it? What helps you?

I feel like I constantly need to be doing something but at the same time I have no energy to move!!!

I want to get better but I feel like I'm getting worse!!!

    Kerry, first have you seen a doctor or therapist about your depression? If you haven't please do.

    As far as the making yourself. I have to do that too. For me it's not sleeping well and waking early but then no motivation at all. All I can do is try to do it and force myself. After a while for me it seems to get easier. Hang in there.

      I have seen a doctor which he put me on 30mg of mirtazapine! On my second course of them now!

      I noticed last few days though that my sleeping is not very good again.

    Yes, Kerry, this can be a difficult thing to manage. But once you're actively taking medicine and talking with a professional regularly, the most important thing is self-care. Sleep, drinking lots of water, and making sure to eat regularly are super important. It can be hard to do "normal" things while in a depressed state, but forcing yourself to sleep and be healthy will make you feel better in the long run. Please feel better -- smile
