How do you deal with Obsessive thoughts?

Posted , 4 users are following.

I have been on prozac for about 2 years now. For a year I was doing great, but I recently went through a big life change which caused me to have anxiety all over again along with bad panic attacks. I've upped my dose from 20mg to 30mg the last month or so. I am still struggling with obsessive thoughts, constantly worrying about what I am going to do when I am alone because of my anxiety, ect. Its gotten bad 😕 How do you handle your obsessive thoughts? I am going to be learning mindfulness and meditation here soon and I am hoping it helps because sometimes the obsessive thoughts cause bad depression and just make me feel so horrible. I am worried I am going to end up thinking very horrible thoughts and something bad is going to happen. 😦

Hi, I find that by accepting the horrid thoughts help. The more you panic about the thoughts the more you will think them. Allow yourself time to sit and put things into perspective. Once you have mastered thinking such thoughts without having a panic attack you will of beat it. It is easier said than done I know. Try resting/sleeping when you can xx
