Hi all. I am struggling with my weight. I have ballooned from 14 stone to 18 stone in a little over 2 years. I am worried about certain things that are going on with my health and i am looking to find out if my symptoms are a results of my weight gain. I will list them below.

1. Crippling fatigue. I feel as tired waking up as when i went to bed. ( I have osa that i am on cpap for)

2. my muscles in my arms seem to tire REALY quickly. I have not lost strength but endurance. My arms even ache just holding a phone to my ear.

3. really dry and itch skin ALL OVER.

I have hypothyroidism that i am being treated for.

Please reply if you have or have had any of these sypmtoms.

Hi I'm the very same, I suffer with Hydrothyroidism to and ME.

Weights ballooned to over 20 stone. Dispite trying slimming world, weight watchers etc getting pills off Dr and hypnotherapy none has worked.

I went to Dr as my BMI is 53 and I this the only way I'd lose weight is by some kind of surgical intervention. Was told the surgeons are not keen to do this!

I'm also at a loss as to what to do babe. Sorry I can't be of much help.

    Xxx

what age are you leigh? i also have hypothyroidism and  in fact, been on thyroid meds for 15 yrs and have really gone downhill since being on them. I only went to the doc for a flu which wiped me out,.but once back to normal felt fine. I am 48 and i think pre menopause can do the itchy skin. achy and weight issue stuff too. however, i found and am about to start again, optifast choc shakes and bars work wonders

I am 40. Also, I am male so don’t think I am going through the menopause 😂.  I was under a endocrinologist for my thyroid and they discharged me dispite me telling them I am fatigued and itchy. There is clearly something going on but they don’t want to investigate.

yes menopause wont be  your prob lol. These specialists etc seem to read blood results and see normality with numbers but i reckon there is alot of behind the scene things going on which are being missed also. IN saying that perhaps there is a food allergy or something for the itchy skin or dehydration can make skin tight and feel dry and break. I would give this optifast shakes a try because honerstly,.i had never felt so wonderful and refeshed and love those shakes sooooooo much for taste even. Plus really rip into the two litres of water a day because that loosens skin and who knows the itchy may go away. I reckon after a week you will be feeling amazing, i like the shakes and bars because they are ok for everyone, those who are on medication etc. They make you feel really good and have none of this hypo stuff in that alot of weight loss stuff have for the get up and go.and make hearts race etc. This is the best out there and i was sooooooooooooo looking for something which would give me no side affects. I am starting this up next monday too and you have all your nutrients met and everything  and when you feel good you get more sleep and more energy and dont feel fatigued. I was losing 4 kg a week doing  no exercise but then i wanted to do more little things which helped in the end anyway

I had ache in my legs when I was over 18 stone I think just due to the pressure on them , I also had dry skin but still have that . I am always tired too and I know it’s down to dehydration as I struggle to drink fluids which I’m trying to change .

lack of drinking water really makes a difference doesnt it, I notice it alot when i dont drink as much in winter. my skin on my legs goes tighter and everything. Plus yes, lethargy.
