How do you know if you are cured of scabies

Please help me i think i have scabies that wont go away.
I got a ring like patch on my right leg in april that was itchy so i treated it with an antifungal cream that made it subside but was still visible.
Then in late may i started to get a few small itchy bumps on my arms and legs that seemed to spread over time, i thought it was another fungal infection so i used sulphur soap and antifungal cream spot application for a week, when the bumps didnt go away i started to become really paranoid and looked up everything on the internet.
I thought i had hiv or std and got myself tested all of which came out as negative Thank God!
I was able to see a dermatologist last july13 and she said it was just an irritation and asked me to use a mild collagen soap from her clinic and prescribed citerizine (anti-histamine) 1x a day and to put betamethasone cream on the bumps. 2 weeks into this the rash spread like wildfire and it was red and very itchy, it spread all through out my body except for my neck, shoulders, upper back and face.
When i went back to the dermatologist last july 27 she said it could be scabies and asked me to apply 1 part 5%permethrin 1 part hydrodex lotion from the neck down twice a day without taking a bath for 2 days then stop and bathe for another 2 days then repeat the 2x a day for 2 days application of the creams which i did. My 5yo son who sleeps beside me every night did not get any rashes though so i had a doubt that it was scabies although i continued with the treatment she reccomended.
I threw away my mattress, washed all my pillows, beddings, clothes. I sanitized all surfaces and changed to fresh towels and beddings every day. I was already taking the anti histamine tabs twice a day.
i also started using sulfur soap since july 30 because i read somewhere that it helps.
But the rash was still there and its getting worse.
I decided to apply only the permethrin 5% last sunday august 4 which would have been my fifth application and took a shower the next day. I asked my mom and son to apply the perm just in case.
Monday and tues a take a bath twice a day with the sulfur soap.
And just tonight i noticed that the rash on my legs looks dried up and scaly, my thighs and arms still had the bumps. my palms are getting scaly and is flaking off.
All of which are still very itchy that sometimes i want to peel my skin off especially at bedtime.
I have red that it usually takes about 2 weeks before it all clears up.
But now i have these red rashes on my neck and shoulders and new ones on my stomach that i didnt have before.
I have been sufferring with this for almost 2 mos now. I no longer go out of the house or even my room because i look like a monster and i dont want anyone else to get infected.
I think that this disease is taking a toll on me emotionally, physically and even mentally. I sometimes want to set my skin on fire.
I dont know what else to do and im really scared that even my face and scalp will get rashes.
Please help me.
Please.

Mix clove bud oil with warm water in a spray bottle and spray your entire body especially the rash. Leave on. Apply twice daily for a couple weeks. You should stop itching 15 mins to an hour and they're dead but keep applying to kills eggs when they hatch. This works better than any meds. You can even spray your head. It burns a little but that just means its working.

Sounds like psoriasis or noninfectious condition.
Please search and search till you find a good dermatologist.
Get well soon!

Dear Cassey, I feel your pain...I dealt with this for two long years. It occured to me that the idea of treating it with permethrin and then stopping and then retreating and stopping, left my skin vulnerable during the times it was not being treated. So I mixed a container of half olive oil and half tree tree oil and applied it all over my body twice a day and kept it up for a good week. In a way it's a twofer...tea tree oil not only kills the buggers but it is good for your skin and helps it heal. I suggest you try it. Good luck.

Hi, I started getting a rash 4 months ago itching some hurting it was on my tailbone my right side my left arm it got infected i thought i got it from in the woods we have a river cabin and i am outside a lot. I went to the doctor and they first time i went they said they had no idea what it was a and gave me oinyment and\week later my husband and daughters made me go to ER and get it checked out cause infection was bad wasnt spreading tho they gave me a stertiod through a iv and benedryl and first said they dont know what it was then i spoke to nurse she said they was discussing it and it might be a allergy reaction or maybe poison oak then i then about a few weeks later i went to another doc she said i might be shingles or scabies but didnt think shingles cause she said shingles is only on one side of the body, and dont really think scabies either thought i just take care of it myself so put every skin med on it daily peroxidr and dug lil black specks out of my skin. im down to four little places on me now. i did not give it to my husband or grandkids. im not out in public where i could get scabies. but what are the black specks and some are in a line. like i been reading, and im wondering with scabies do you have to dig out all of the black specks/ mites? if not then where do they go? stay in your skin?

Hi Casey
After experiencing this awful skin problem there were several trips to dermatologists and anti hestimes and creams were prescribed but what worked wonders was a lotion called Arcaril vial benzoate de benzyle 200ml liquid
Put on all over body from neck to toes under feet inbetween fingers and private areas ( stings a little) but you leave it on overnight shower in the morning then put it on again ( generously) and leave on again til you shower and keep doing this for a week Need to wash and dry clothes in dryer or dry clean and wash sheets carpets everything plus your friends or family do the same and it does go away
Arcaril for a week is very good
Little drying on the skin but it does work Try not to sleep in same bed as your partner til cleared of all mites and itching Can feel like it will return and some itchiness again but again reapply It won't be as bad as first time so get onto it faster the second time if you feel wrigglies or itching again sensations
Hope it helps

Casey. I have scabies and what a pain to get rid of I went to Dr. After 2 mo of noticing the rash, bumbs, etc. They gave me permethine cream in fact I did this for 2 mo didn't help and now prescribed invermectin 3mg tablets I have yet to take these, read side effects and can cause blurry vision, and I drive truck for a living,so I've researched online found out tea tree oil kills bugs and their eggs, I've been doing this now for week and half twice day once in morning and again at bed time. Starting to notice rash on arms and somewhat on back are getting better,I even have them on my balls ( scrotem) sucks but today noticed flakey skin and some redness on them so thinking the flakey skin is telling me they are dieing but idk,I've had these for like 6 mo and I'm starting to get irritated that they will never go away uuugggh, now noticed a cream called emuaid? Bout ready to try that. But alot of times I can feel something crawling on my skin when I look nothing there. So any advise you could give me thanks jeff

HELP!!!
I think I might have scabies!!!
I went for a hot stone massage at a new massage shop just opened up in my town run by Chinese women, it even said in the advert this is not a sexual service. so thought it would be ok. However that was not the case. Because at the end she asked me if I wanted any extras!!!
I had a 1 hour massage, but she also used her hands quite a lot all over my body.
The next day the first thing I noticed was that I had itchy dry elbows forearms and wrists. I didn't think much of it but after two more days my head itched a lot and all over my body did. My elbows were really quite red. However I can't see any borrows and just 3 pimples.
So after looking online it sounded very much like scabies which has really freaked me out.
However it says it takes weeks to get symptoms it was 1 day for me?
I decided to go and visit my doctor because I'm now worried - he takes one look at my hands and in between my fingers and says no its not scabies but couldn't tell me what it might be...he said because I had no sores or spots in the webbing between my fingers it was not scabies. Regardless I said I would like the treatment and asked for ivermectin and Pemethrin which he made me sign a disclaimer for because it was against his judgment.
I have used the Pemethrin 5 hours ago and hope that this has killed them all off so I don't spread this to my wife and small child. Hopefully if it is scabies the mites didn't have time to get off me and infest my wife or child.
I'm having to wait to get the ivermectin because no chemist of 6 I tried stocked it.
This is how freaked out I am.. I even drove back to where I got the massage and asked to see the woman's hands who had given me the massage, she showed me them and they had no signs of scabies. So what now!!!
right now my elbows are red and burning and my hands and fingers are sore as well as my forearms. Itchy all over and I'm in utter panic mode and don't know weather to fess up to my partner where I went and what I might have or listen to my doctor.
I think deep I know my own body and its saying you have SCABIES!! as much as I don't want it to be true.

U might want to relax first. Cause all the panic makes u have all the hitches u want. Also after one day? No, if even is that you might have got it somewhere else. Also the doctor checked the typical spots but it doesn't mean it shows up only there. As a fact I had the unluck of getting it 3 times over 13 years and it never showed up like in the book.
Either er way it was a massage it seems normal she moved her hands around..

I made a body lotion with tea tree oil, neem oil, rosemary, clove and anise oils in a base of coconut oil. I slather it on and it helps. in addition I do salt baths combined with scrubs. 2 cups of salt in hot bath and scrub affected areas with handfuls of salt which I try to leave on for awhile, It stings like crazy when I finally rinse but seems to give great relief. Sometimes I make paste of turmeric and body lotion, I think it helps. I also made a spray with watered alcohol, tea tree and neem oils to spray bedding and couch. Alcohol kills them on contact so.... I also give myself alcohol rubs ( I put a sport sock on my scrub brush to reach the places on my back that I can't reach) Also I sometimes wash my hands with apple cider vinegar, which gives me an almost orgasmic sting, but seems the most effective. If I dared, I would bath in the vinegar, it works so well. Also I was linen often and I am going to start using a sheet to throw down where I sit as an easy way to manage. They don't spread as easy as bedbugs, usually just by contact. They don't live long off body. Anyway, Those treatments cleared everything up fast, no itches after 2 days, until I hit the 2 week mark and new life began emerging, then I doubled down and no itching. After a year or so of no itching I may be confident that they are licked!
