How do you live after varicose veins surgery? Any follow up experience apreciated!

Hi!!

Doctor just told me I need surgery. Both legs, big vein. He offered me laser or foam? And I don't know what to chose.

I have many questions. If he close my veins, where blood will go than? Will it overload my other veins? Will new veins grow? What if new varicose veins pop out?

Please share with me your experience after treatments.

How is it according to pain, swollen and heavy legs - do you feel any improvement?

How long after treatment have you lived without problems?

Did you change any habits? What exercises do you suggest me?

Do you know any dietary changes that could help?

Do you wear compress socks all the time?

Please share with me your experiences. Are these surgeries (foam, laser...) really helpful or we are stuck with pain and swelling and cramps...

My doc just told me that this is chronic and according to this I can't expect much of quality life 😦

Thank you!!!

Aya
