How does fibromalgia start?

i am in 9 weeks into a range of symptoms, seen upteen doctors and a neuro twice. Fibro has yet to be mentioned however I am wondering if it might be. Symptoms started with severe tinnitus, followed by vertigo combined with neuro stype tingling on head, face and extremitirs. 5 weeks ago I started feeling fatigued, muscle twitching and cramps in my legs. This hs spread to my arms, shoulders and chest. All of the other symptoms persist. I am also aware that anxietys playing a part as I have had CT scans, MRI, MRA, cardio, blood tests to look at possible stuff like MS. Everything is normal test wise and clinically. They have spoken to migraines with sensory aura and have just commended migraine meds. I guess I am frustrated and looking for answers. Any feedback would be apprecaited.

Hi Charlie im experiencing the same symptoms, pins and needles in legs and feet that went through my body one night since then I have had muscle cramps in my calves and thighs, muscle twitching and jerking body parts and jumping whilst resting mainly of a night, I already have lupus and sjogrens and im due to see a neurologist shortly and just hoping that its not MS, as far as I know I don't have fibromyalgia

Thanks for your reply. I am also unsure if it is FM. I do know it is not MS which was a major relief based on the clear MRIs over a period of time. Thoughts of FM have surfaced in the past week or so with muscle soreness and pain in the upper torso. That is the major symptom now in tandem with fatigue. I am just non plussed at the progression of symptoms to reach this point. Initial 4 weeks or so was shocking tinnitus with neuro type dizziness come pulses. They are still there but less so than before. I hope all goes well with you. Are your new symptoms not connected with your existing conditions?

You may like to look up symptoms for  Sorgrens Syndrome there’s a blog site on here, I have it and the symptoms are very very similar to Fibro which I also have..I can very much relate to your symptoms, especially the fatigue, ears, muscle probs and tingling you are having and it’s from SS. Be blessed charlie19..have a lovely week😍

Thanks Christine. The bewildering array of symptoms and possible diagnoses is very frustrating, as you will know. I do know that the sudden fatigue is by a distance my worst symptom at present. The rest are all there though in conjunction. I had a succession of neuro type headspins this morning, radiating through my head and into my right arm. Most disconserting. The problem with FM is that covers apparently almost all symptoms....without any apparent cause. Thanks for advice and thoughts.
