How I coped with vulvodynia and fixed it

Posted , 2 users are following.

I first experience this pain after having a yeast infect from there the months that followed I couldn’t have intercourse for the life of me I couldn’t even be touched this continued for 8 months I had my bad days and good but after that something changed I was able to have sex but it hurt so bad I’d have to stop I had such a terrible burning pain now this continued for about another 5 months and by the end of the 5 months I was back to point A in horrible pain and this continued I did research and looked and looked finding nothing that would help. I have been on birth control for longer than I had been suffering with vulvo.  I stopped my birth control (lolo) and within weeks I was back to having intercourse. I know that this is just what personally worked for me but I encourage to try it and I also ecourage taking 2 spoons of olive oil, 1 spoon of honey, and squeeze one whole lemon. I hope this helps many suffering like I was.  Blessings to all

WOah this is exactly me. Also had pain after a yeast infection that I got back in December. Good days and bad days. I’m able to have sex but there’s a little area that just is red and kind of irritated so it gets painful after a while. I’m also on loloestrin! My doc prescribed me another birth control to see if that would help which I start on Sunday after my period but I’ve been contemplating just stopping all together for now to get the pain away. This post really helped me! How long did it take after you stopped?

I noticed within about a week or so  the pain was gone. I honestly think that I just needed to get my birth control out of my system. I also nightly put coconut oil down their to keep it moisturized and I try not to wash with soap just water so that it wouldn’t irritate any areas that are already irritated

Thanks! What other things did you try before? My doc prescribed me estrogen cream and steroid cream and both barely worked. She said the skin was thin and irritated bc I had such a bad reaction after the yeast infection

My doctor gave me lidocaine to numb the area, which I personally thought was just a bandaid to the problem, but she also before then told me I could try desitin the stuff you use for diaper rash. I started looking into the problem more but from all the things I tried stopping my birth control is the only thing that helped me

Yeah lidocaine doesn’t exactly get rid of it just takes the pain a way. Weird. Did you have redness at all?
