How Im coping with Fibromyalgia

Posted , 3 users are following.

hey its laura parker im back

Finally found it

I'd just thought id let you know how im doing

Honestly i dont think im at the perfect point of my life, today i broke down, im 17 and im constantly on medician it's been bugging me for a while and i dont know how much more i can deal with it

It gets harder and harder everyday. I lashed out to my boyfriend, little things get to me and the only people that can possibly understand is you guys. Im getting help, but i find it hard. I can stand it anymore, im strong but this is pushing me almost to the edge.

I wanna be able to climb my stairs, hoover the living room, take a shower for more then 5 minutes but i cant because im cursed with this god damn illness. Nothing helps, no medician no exercise, and only a little bit of a talk and cry about my feelings, im having more bad days then good, i feel im getting more and more ill and noone can see it because i suffer in silence. My little brother has an eye infection and he says to me today \"Im ill\" and i said \"join the group\" and he replied with \"Your not ill\" Im constantly in that position everyday and i cant stand it

I know i need help but i dont know if i can get it

or how much more i can take without loosing myself along the way. i cant be myself because the pain stops me.

I really do hope all of you lot is having a better time then i am smile

    Hi Laura

Good to hear from you again but not so good you are having a tough time. Especially as you are so young. Are you able to talk to your gp about how you are feeling. Your gp may be able to put you in touch with someone or know of some other form of medications that might work for you. You have so much to do with looking after your dad and brother as well. I don't suppose they realise how bad you are as we all look ok on the outside.

Please don't be alone and come on here and have a chat with us all and a good old rant. We don't mind and it is best to talk to us who can understand how you are feeling.

I am not too bad some aches and pains today but have had a busy day looking after my granddaughter who is just over four months old. Need a good rest now as quite tired. Was looking after her from 8 until 5pm. She was good however.

I do hope you can get some help with your medication and the doctor can find someone who can help you.

    Take care

    Hi Laura,

Awful that ur having such a crap time of it ...and just 17. Its not right!

I agree with Tess, do u have a good GP who actually listens to u? Specially if this is getting u so down and p`d off. There`s nothing worse!

The pain drags u down and its worse when people don`t seem to realise just how much ur hurting. Does ur boyfriend understand about fibromyalgia? Alot of people don`t know what it is, and need a bit information before they can be understanding.

    U take care wee chick.

Come on and have a rant with us anytime.. smile

Im afraid im only a little bit better, i havent been in the best mood this week, Im ill and i havent had a good day in weeks sad

My boyfriend knows about the condition but doesnt realise just how much im going through, i dont really have a gp to talk to about how im feeling, My support working at college has asked for a conceller to talk to, so we'll have to see how that turns out. I can honestly say im not having fun with this condition. Hopefully will be getting more medician

    Hope your all well

and coping with little babys :P

    Hi Laura,

If I was u chick, Id go back to the GP and push for him/her to do something. Or if need be and its feasible, change doctors.

I know exactly how u feel when GP`s don`t listen. On GP I saw tried to tell me it was due to me having a podgy tummy! Well, I know being overweight certainly can have an impact on things, but, at a size 16, same as more than half the female population in UK.....there must be an awful lot of ladies going around in pain! I don`t think! Plus, Ive lost some weight and there`s been no change.

Don`t give up. You fight to get something done to at least help u cope with the pain better. If u haven`t done so already, it might b an idea to google some information about fibromyalgia, and ask ur boyfriend to read it. Maybe this would help?

I hope u get on ok with the college councellor. I know this is available as I work in a college myself. Even having someone to let off steam with may help.

    Take Care

    Hi Laura

Sorry to hear you still not feeling very good. Like Lindy says it is sometimes good to change drs and find one who will listen to you. Not very easy I know from past experience myself. When you do find someone to listen to you will be so much better.

Will probably be good for you to talk to a counsellor at college and at least you can talk about how you are feeling.

Come back on here and talk to us we are all here for you. Don't be alone!

    Love Tess x x
