How is everyone's BV doing ?

hi all I'm just wondering how everyone doing and your BV.

I've been taking black seed oil and probotics i took a weeks worth of suppositories that did help a little but i got really bad thrush itching inside .

past few days my bv was getting on well it was nearly gone but yesterday i stuck a probotic up my tunnel and I could smell bv yet all week I smelt nothing when inserting the probotic capsule.

I'm now waiting on vitamin c suppositories and bori cap -boric acid .

everytime I think I'm good no smell the next day it comes back.

I've spent money after money that I haven't got .

this fortnight I've spent over £100 .

I'm using sensitive washing powders and no douching only bath in water and the have a shower to wash the rest of my body .

so fed up .

    hiya michelle so far so good with the cream finished my period yesturday an no smell or anything so far still early days but all seems ok

    I have tried the following: flagyl pills twice, metrogel twice and long term suppressive therapy. Did not work. Urogynocologist prescribed from compounding pharmacy boric acid capsules. I took 14 days and now I take three days after my period and twice a week ongoing.

    Huge change and best is that the pressure to urination went from a 10 to a 2. More manageable. Other bonus is almost no discharge and no smell (mine was more ammonia and not very strong).

    Real test will be when I go back to urogyn in early September and she tests me. For now, I am continuing treatment and look at the BV is chronic ( which is why the boric acid helps). It was brought on initially by stress and perimenopause and I truly believe it is linked to my hormones which threw off my PH level.

    Hi Michelle I can smell bv around me but not on me don't know whether it's my imagination. I looked at the boric acid when someone posted earlier the reviews seem great for younger women like you, looking at older women's reviews of my age they burnt I'm guessing due to age and it been less moist. I know your desperate and will try anything I've been there so know what it's like. Just a thought have you ever bought urine testing sticks this may give an indication on a daily basis whether it's getting better or worse. I think you need a rest from anything and let it rest up as as this rate nothing will work or fail and if it does you won't know what it was. I know you won't want to hear that I would'nt either x

      hi all

      macc I was thinking the absolute same thing ...I need to give my lady garden a rest because its had suppositories from the UK straight after I used a probotic for 7 days and now I've started vitamin c suppositories and I'm waiting on boric acid .

      I made the mistake thinking my bv went after the UK suppositories but it came back and then this weekend I thought the bv was fading out there was no smell clean as anything then Sunday i got a little wet spot which was bv .

      like Kimi has said never get our hopes up I've dove this and I've been left in tears when it returns.

      my doctor said some woman have bv all their lives and Kimi doctor also said the same.

      I'm glad I'm not in a relationship

      I brought a few tests you have to swipe the stick in the walls of the vagina and I took 2 both saying my ph was good .

      I remember once going to a nurse who said I didn't have bv and she couldn't smell nothing but my soap

      but I know I had bv the smell wasnt right especially during sex its was so embarrassing and my ex used that against me ...men !!!!!

      you've done well to have a period without bv coming back during and after.

      it's like living on a knife edge the time .

      I'm always terrified of checking my knickers incase it's back and I'm left more upset but it always comes back .

      Luckily when I had my first outbreak I was with a guy who had no sense of smell. I know I shouldn't laugh but it was perfect timing. The worse thing for me my last encounter ended up being a one night stand and it was a lousy one night stand too. I don't think I have bv but am definetly waiting for it to reappear I think even when I don't have it I can smell its so frustrating. I don't think stress helps so for now just try to do nothing and just keep the area clean with warm water hers me telling you and I used a suppostry last night for moisture simply because I found them at the back of my wardrobe so now I have a discharge ffs or maybe it's just the suppostry still exiting argh!! I feel your pain really I do.

      unfortunately my ex was a piece of crap

      the smell only happened once with him but when we split he was making fb accounts up in my name but writing fish clit in the name lol ffs I'm still not over it now infact i ended up nearly killing myself addicted to valium in a funny farm hospital that's how much it got to me .

      I was seeing someone 3 years ago but my bv wasnt bad bad but we only had 1 drunken one night stand I had to sneak in the bath before I went to bed .

      that one night stand was s**t as yours he spent all night in the bathroom putting condoms on that didn't impress me lol

      felt dirty in a way .

      so now I just wont bother I'll die single if I've bv all my life .

      yeah I always think I can smell bv when it's not it's strange I thought it was just me lol

      I'm not sure the site would allow for bad language but what a man!! I can't even begin to imagine how much damage his comments did but your not alone and its worth living fighting it and beating it! I've eaten my words and bought some probiotic capsules so I'll let you know how they go.

      yea my ex was vile .

      at the time I only use to get bv now and then and when I did get it I'd buy some gels and it would go .

      but one night I was staying out at his flat and bv began and its was horrendous bv but I couldn't do nothing about it.

      when my ex returned from work he fancied a bit and we were in the early stages so everytime we saw each other we had sex.

      I really didn't want to but I did and the smell was awful the next day I brought gels and it went.

      😥its why I wont get intimate with anyone .

      like i said you're all brave but I suppose I was just unlucky but least you all have good men .

      I think any guy that uses such a cheap shot to get at a women isn't really worth worrying about it says more about him than you! It's a terrible thing to get and he knew it would hit you hard. His had his fun at your expense you need to forget him now and let him crawl back under his rock. Another thing I read that I hadn't considered that after sex you should wash with cold water as the action would already make that area swell so cold water reduces the irritation. I know we all think of cleanliness at being hot water but I guess where there's heat there's bacteria waiting. I don't get bv with every partner one partner we used to show together after and I never once had a bad smell. There is hope so keep reminding yourself that x

      hello again my ex I got a restraining against him what was humiliating was the police looking in my fb seeing disgusting comments .

      my sisters work mate saw the names my brothers mates saw it .

      my dad got messages calling me a slag and I smell ...I know it was once and the reason why I've bv is I'm too clean nurses have spent time trying to get me to stop but it was OCD I couldn't stop .

      my ex knew how important hygiene was to me and yes he said it because he knew that would kill me .

      the cold water idea is fine it doesn't have to be warm .

      it's been really hot here and I've been having cold baths and cold showers.

      sperm can trigger it .

      I first got bv due to my bf sperm and then I was obsessed with hygiene it was a recipe for total disaster 10 years on I'm still suffering .

      if I was having sex my bv would be worse.

      my boric acid came today but I'm still using vitamin c i want to finish my 4 nights and then have a break then start boric acid .

      what's your situation at home?

      I live alone thank God lol I can st least relax at home with bv .

      My daughter lives me with me and she doesn't know anything about it so I think I am slightly paranoid about it. Hopefully my probiotic tablets will be here soon so I'll see how it goes I've tried so many things internally so swallowing a pill has got to be simpler

    I was having pretty bad cramps and pain yesterday which is now better but not gone, planning to call my GP today to see if I can get a short notice appointment with her. I used a hydrogen peroxide diluted rinse yesterday to try and feel cleaner down there, but this morning there is a lot of white discharge. I can tell it's BV because of the odor, I have some boric acid but when I've used it before it hasn't helped and has made me really irritated, I'm so frustrated by this..

      boric acid is my last hope .

      I started using vitamin c suppositories last night and I was still sore when I woke up .

      I used another version of suppositories and they burned and irritated me .

      we must be extra sensitive but the other round of suppositories only hurt for a few days then I never felt a thing .

      only problem is when suppositories have inflamed my inner skin I've ended up having bad thrush.

      get some treatment for thrush or yeast infection I've brought some cream and one capsule .

      what a crap life.

      So I was able to get in and get swabbed. she prescribed me a week of flagyl and I also used boric acid, I think I had about one day with no symptoms before it started to itch again, then finally a few days later the smelly discharge returned. Usually its just sour smelling for me but this time its really thin and milky and smells very fishy. 😦

    oh yea then my ex give me chymida he was cheating so I dump him and he does his worst on all social media bv has ruined my life .
