how long can it take?

Been on sertraline  for 21 days no difference yet is this normal i'm getting worried! can anybody help please i'm on 100mg.

    Hi anna it takes 6-8 weeks to feel the effects! Am on day 15 and they making me feel rough but ppl say u gotta fight through it. Are you having any side effects from them? I get more anxious and jittery and feel sick in the mornings

      Hi Kevin in the mornings i feel very sick also lost my appetite! and feel very flat but seems to pick up around lunch time! let me know how you go on also when i get up at 4.30 due to these meds i can't even think straight.

    Hi anne  yes this is completely normal  can take up to 8 weeks (as in my case) before you start feeling full benefits    its a gradual process both going on these meds and coming off    good luck  and take one day at a time

    Also meant to say  what time do you take yours   I take mine just befor bedtime  I do feel a little jittery when I get up  but make myself have a cup of tea and some toast and i do feel better afterwards. It does affect appetite  I have lost weight  about 11lbs in all since I started (4months ago) and appetite still not back to where it was before but i suppose i ate a lot of crap  befor  now though i am careful what i eat because i do not want to upset my tummy or feel sick so this is probably more the reason i have lost weight

    Be patient, 21 days is nothing in the big picture. My doc was still adjusting med dosages 3 months into my process. I believe I started feeling the difference after a couple months. Everyone is different, I envy those who say they see the difference after a couple days (hard to believe). So be patient, wait and see.

      Hi David this is my 3rd month i was on fluoxatine for nine weeks first! without any change, and now 3 weeks in sertraline it just makes me really anxious incase i don't recover that is what concerns me when people say they are getting there after ten days! Anne.
