How long do abscess take to heal after you stop packing?

I had an abscess in my breast, it was inside not like
protruding out and making my nipple revert in. I found out in December, my doctor tried different things till eventually a full surgery in March.
After the surgery it was left open to drain. However it
closed over within days and so at post op she gave me
packing materials and I packed it daily myself for about a month. Last time I went she told me to stop packing and it should be closing within the next month and would be fine to just put like finger bandaids on it.
Well that month is coming up and for one I could never use small bandages, because it's still leaking every day. The hole is very tiny but like I said has still drained every day, and it hasn't even had a scab to close yet. I can't see inside of it anymore so I think it fully healed inside. I change it & clean it daily but still seeming like it doesn't want to close.
It's just confusing to me on how it was closing so quick
without the gauze packing and now that I stopped again it's been weeks and it won't. its also very annoying because its in my breast therefore ive had to put a long pause on my sex life because of it. soon it will be six months ive been dealing with it, im beyond tired of it 😦
