I had terrible GI problems with both methatrexate and Arava. The doctor finally agreed I can't take tablets and now I am doing Humira only. Has anyone been through this and how long did it take for these side effects to subside?

Hi, I got terrible gut issues with methotrexate tablets ended up in A&E after a week of use, that was about a year ago, for about the last 9 months been on Benepali works great and no side effects, hope the Humira works for you with no side effects.

I'm about to start taking a supplement that restores the integrity of the gut lining. Sounds like you might also benefit from this. From what I've been reading, once the tight junctions of the stomach lining have been compromised, ill health will follow. .. fix those tight junctions and health is restored. All the auto - immune diseases (including RA) have this compromised gut in common. Many diseases therefore have the same route for recovery.
