I still feel light headed dizzy after a week off. I took it for 4 months 500 to 600 mg per day. This drug is weird and should be look at more closley. What do you all think. will withdrawals go away eventually?

Hey Naomi i was seeing a pain management doctor here and he said they are now dealing with migraine headaches by way of botox injections.......you need to see a neurologist if you are having bad headaches...your GP usually can't help find one that knows about botox

I tried to come off them about 2 years ago and it caused me to have a heart attack and I am now left me with heart failure. My left ventrichal valve is damaged . I am now back on the gabs which my doctor advised me to .i take them for nerve damage in my lower back. Please be careful that you don’t try to come off them to quickly as it causes all sorts of problems with your body and mind . Hope this helps

I started Neurontin back around the end of November to help with sciatica. The beginning of January I discovered I was unable to have an orgasm. Upon doing some research, I found out that this was a (rarely mentioned) side effect of this drug. After two weeks of this condition, I quit the drug, which means I was on it for only 1-1/2 months. It is now the beginning of February and things have not changed. I read in someone's response it could take up to 6 months for this to get out of one's system.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how long did it take to recover normal functioning?

I was prescribed 100mg 3 times daily for hip degeneration & severe arthritis in neck, severe depression. Worked for about 2 months but made me very spacey. Dr up the dose 300 mg 3 times daily then month later 400mg pills 2 at a time 3 times a day. Developed very violent thoughts and couldn’t do barely anything so I started cutting back to mabe 3- 400 mg a day. Still a zombie with NO energy or sex drive. Cut down to 2 a day quickly after all this research. We stupidly trust these drs becuz we are in so much pain. I took my last 400mg cap last Sunday night& felt better Monday and have not taken another. I am one of the lucky ones, taking 200mg of tramadol REALLY helps. Also magnesium, 25 to 50 mg Benadryl & 200 mg progesterone (for females)all in evening is keeping withdrawal very tolerable. Still extremely tired but coping well. Considering I was on this for 3/4 year I am very fortunate to be doing so well. Pray for u all , ur normal functioning will return with time, never again will I take this crap
